I turn 22 on the 25th and many of my recent endeavors both illicit and legitimate have paid off surprisingly well so I’ve been treating myself to some nice new things, they are both featured in the first image below and I rescued them both from a dark fate.
Also I picked up These wheels because they were $100 and I figured worst case scenario I sell them for $200 (I spent an hour and a half cleaning to get them to look like this) anybody know how I can improve them more? Can you powder coat chrome or is it like electroplating? Is there a specific type of polish or brush that will work best? PS all four fit in the trunk together with the subwoofers in there too, my Datsun couldn’t do that

He’s 110lbs and he’s only 18 months old, a malnourished puppy at that. He fits much better in the Mercedes than he does in my girlfriend a Lexus

I approve! Yours looks to be in nicer condition, Is it the California model? I’m going to hit 260,000 miles today sometime so I have lots of little things to sort out but the engine is very healthy

Well someone resprayed my paint and it’s not as good as all original, but it’s dark and it gets to be ok with a wax. The interior is very good and it had about 118k on it when I got it, I don’t put tons of miles on it. The tranny slips a bit, I would like to rebuild that.

I get lots of people at gas stations ask me to sell it but I just paid my classic registration which lasts for 5 years and the values are always going up so I’ll have her for at least 5 years barring any catastrophic engine failure, I should try a wax and see how it helps my paint, your trans problems may be fixed or lessened by Chaisng down some vaccum leaks or fiddling with the shift cable adjustment I was able to drastically improve mine and it has twice the miles. I didn’t even think about you having the Datsun we have very similar taste in cars ha ha

If I swapped for another W123 it would be a TD, we had one growing up and I like them. My tranny is just the old slipping between 2nd and 3rd mostly, nothing we can do. My Merc mechanic says it might do it for another ten years haha, he said just wait til it gets worse. They do more than wax, they can buff down all the bad junk on top and then bring it back up, it’s pretty amazing what they they can do. There were so many of these cars sold around here I haven’t had anyone else really ask me about it. The orange Z gets most of the attention. Soon my 1952 M37 Dodge military truck will be going and then we’ll see what happens haha.
